The Texas 391 Commission Alliance is the organization of small communities that fought the Corridor.  This blog explains how the Eastern Central Texas Sub-Regional Planning Commission defeated the Corridor with the help of Dan and Margaret Byfield and Fred Kelly Grant of American Stewards.  They implemented the coordination process which is provided for in Chapter 391 Texas Local Government Code.

Texans Against High Speed Rail was formed in early 2015 to fight the current plans for the Dallas – Houston bullet train.  They are combating eminent domain for private use and oppose any tax-subsidized passenger railway.
